In Home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Programs

Dr. Francine Baffa specializes in developing comprehensive ABA Programs to assess and teach adaptive behavior to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in home, school and clinical settings. Implementing an ABA program in a home environment can be especially effective.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the application of basic behavioral practices consisting of positive reinforcement, teaching in small steps, prompting, and repeated practice to facilitate the development of language, social interactions, and independent living skills.

ABA is used to teach a variety of skills and positive behaviors, including functional living skills, language, reading, social, and independent play skills. ABA methodology is also effective in minimizing challenging behaviors such as, noncompliance, tantrums, and self-injury.

ABA programs are attractive due to their strong focus on teaching new skills, detailed documentation of progress, foundation in accepted & proven research, and individualization on a case by case basis.

Dr. Baffa knows that every child can learn, and to achieve their full potential, children with autism need people who understand their motivation and can break down goals into tasks that they can successfully accomplish to promote positive, adaptive behavior.
